Benalmadena – 20 minuyes from Malaga Intenational Airport and can be reached by car, bus, taxi or train.

This large coastal town has rapidly grown over the last 20 years and has at least 30,000 inhabitants of mixed nationalities and is home to one of the largest ex-pat communities on the Costa del Sol.  During the summer months the population triples but is also has a good all year round trade.

Benalmadena is around 30 km2 and offers a relaxed enironment and comfortable climate.

Benalmadena is divided into three main areas:

Costa: This is where you will find a long strentch of golden sand and the Mediterranean Sea.  At the end of the beach before entering Torremolinos there is the aware winning marina having plenty of things for tourists to do like boat trips, sea life aquarium, shopping etc.

At the top end is the Pueblo (old village) – an extremely popular place for those wanting to keep away from the main hustle and bustle of coast life.  This is a picturesque village with shops and bars spaced out all around whilst still keeping a tranquil environment.

Arroyo – located right between the two mentioned above and is where you will find shops, bars, restaurants, the very busy train station that can take you to Fuengirola or Malaga City Centre (including the Airport) and is the height of activity all year round.
