About Fuengirola
From this week our blogs will be about all the different areas of the Costa del Sol to help you get to know the areas and decide where you would like your business. This week we take a look at Fuengirola, Costa del Sol.
This has to be one of the friendliest family resorts on the Costa del Sol (sunshine coast). The tourism industry has had a firm hold on the town for many years and a perfect infrastructure has been established. There is a massive foreign resident community in the area and a host of business opportunities. The beaches are long, wide and clean. All the beaches also boast the award of the Blue Flag. There are ample hotels and restaurants of all styles and qualities. Fuengirola is linked to Malaga by rail and the N340 highway run slightly off the coast. It takes just 15-20 minutes to drive to the airport. Gibraltar is less that an hour away. Easily accessible by road, rail or bus, it is not difficult to see why this buzzing cosmopolitan town on the Mediterranean is the number one choice for so many different kinds of people. Fuengirola port is a working marina but is also very popular due to the number of bars, cafes and restaurants. On top of this it offers waters sports, sailing and boat trips.
The town centre is buzzing with supermarkets, shops and banksbut there is also a large shopping centre which is also home to the popular cinema. Whatever you want, Fuengirola pretty much has it having everything to hand so transport is not necessary. However if you wish to travel into nearby towns, there is a good bus service taking you to places like Marbella, Benalmadena, Torremolinos and the excellent and reliable train service runs from Fuengirola directly to the airport and Malaga City Centre.
